(Updated 7/2022) | The Charleston School of Law Foundation (“Foundation”) has established a Temporary Bar Exam Emergency Assistance Fund (“Temporary Bar Fund”). It is available to certified graduates of the class of 2020 who are studying to take the Bar Exam for the first time and have a financial need to support living and/or unexpected expenses during this time. Each grant of the Temporary Bar Fund will be one time only and will be available to first-time Bar Exam takers only.
Those eligible are Charleston School of Law graduates who are certified as graduated. The criteria for these grants are the same as those of the Student Hardship and Emergency Fund. Each grant will be reviewed by the Foundation Board Committee in charge of both the Student Hardship and Emergency Fund and the Temporary Bar Fund. There is currently a $500 cap for each grant and it is a one-time grant per student.
