Alumni help create new opportunities
The Charleston School of Law Foundation champions student scholars and faculty endeavors to fully support and realize the mission of the Charleston School of Law.
The school’s alumni have contributed hundreds of thousands of hours of pro bono and externship service to communities across the state and nation. They know that one of the school’s major themes – giving back — permeates the soul of the Charleston School of Law.
The Charleston School of Law Foundation honors graduates of the school for their continuing public service efforts, sparked in part by their academic training at the law school.
The foundation invites alumni to support its continuing work so it can help students in greater experiences.
We collaborate with the Student Bar Association to send students to subject specific conferences such as Native American Law, Special Education Law, Immigration Law, and the Federal Bar Association Annual Meeting. The foundation encourages and supports student-led symposiums and summits and are currently sponsors for the Coastal and Environmental Law Summit November 2018 and the annual collaboration symposium with The Riley Institute of Furman University on Law and Society in February 2019.We have supported the Charleston County Bar Association Initiative, the Forum, and will continue to participate in efforts made by the CCBA to educate and enhance the public’s knowledge and understanding of state and federal laws.
